For the summer of 2021 Mark taught live sound to six students that attended the Audio/Video Technician Mentorship Program at The Venue. Mark taught the students a ton of topics ranging from how to setup PA systems, mixing audio live, microphone selection and placement, basic EQing, how to read and understand stage plots, how to perform efficient sound checks and a whole lot more. During each show held on every Saturday during the summer of 2021 at The Venue in High River, Alberta. Mark taught the students a new topic every week and then the students implemented what they learned into their work being the sound technicians for the artists/bands that were performing each week. Throughout the summer Mark didn't do a whole lot of the sound for the events since he would get the students to run the sound as he taught them along the way.
