Once Upon A Mattress was the first musical production that Mark did live sound reinforcement for. He was both the FOH and monitor engineer for the production. The production used 12 wireless headset mics, 4 overhead shotgun style mics, multiple instrument microphones and DIs for the 5 piece pit band, and sound effects.
For this musical Mark was also training another high school student to be the lighting tech for this production. As Mark was the lighting tech for the school prior to his new role doing sound for this production, so he was training a new lighting tech as well as being the FOH and monitor engineer (see the "Lighting & Video Tech" section of Mark's portfolio for more on the lighting tech aspect of this production).
